Ferzil 9 Wood Burning Stove: Ultra-Light and Compact

At just 98 g, the Ferzil 9 is one of the lightest wood burning stoves on the market. Compact and minimalist, it is designed for hikers who enjoy lightweight backpacking, ultralight hiking (UL), and bikepacking.

Despite its stainless steel construction, the Ferzil 9 rivals titanium stoves in terms of weight.

Every component has been optimised to reduce weight without compromising durability.

A handful of dry twigs is enough to boil water, make coffee or rehydrate a freeze-dried meal.

The large front opening makes it easy to feed the fire without removing the pot. Simply push the sticks further into the firebox as they burn.

This is not an emergency stove with a firebox too small to be genuinely useful. It is powerful enough to bring up to one litre of water to the boil. The Ferzil 9 is designed for lightweight trips for one or two people.

Compatible with most mugs and small backpacking pots, it fits naturally into an ultralight gear setup, whether for trekking, bikepacking or fastpacking.

Folded flat, the Ferzil 9 slips easily into your pack without taking up valuable space. All parts remain attached, so there is nothing to lose. In the field, assembly is quick and intuitive.

Storage Pouch Option

Simple roll-top closure secured with hook-and-loop fastening. Large enough to carry the stove together with a lighter, a P3RS alcohol stove or a few fire starters.

Depending on available fabric, colours may vary between shades of green, red or dark blue.

Windscreen option

Makes the stove easier to use when the wind picks up.

In calm conditions, it also improves efficiency by directing more heat towards the pot.

Ashtray option

Protects the ground from ash and embers that may fall from the stove.

Made from lightweight stamped aluminium.

Its four small feet create an insulating air gap that helps reduce ground heating.
